Milan Bihlmann & Muammer Yilmaz launch a new 10-year project: “The World by Bike”

Famous for their bold challenge “Around the World in 80 Days Without a Cent”, French adventurers Milan Bihlmannand Muammer Yilmaz are back with a new dream: a 10-year global project combining adventure, human connection, and cycling — called “The World by Bike”.

Rather than a nonstop world tour, this project will unfold over a decade, with the duo embarking every two years on a new 2–3 month cycling expedition on a different continent.

🚴‍♂️ First ride: Paris to Istanbul – starting July 7th, 2025

The first chapter begins in Europe, from Paris to Istanbul, following not the fastest path, but the most beautiful bike routes. Between trails, they’ll travel by train, bus, or hitchhiking, always close to the people and the landscapes.

🌍 An adventure in chapters

In 2027, the second chapter will take them across Asia, then Africa, Oceania, and the Americas in future years — each time pedaling selected routes, for the joy of slow travel and meaningful encounters.

🎥 Documentary, dream and generosity

They will meet locals, stay with families, do good deeds along the way, and film their journey for a future documentary. As always, an unspoken dream will unfold progressively, one pedal stroke at a time.
